Thank you for your interest in the Spanish Fork and Salem Farmers Markets. We’re excited for another season with us!

To provide the best experience for our community, our Board has set clear rules about the types of products we allow for sale. These guidelines ensure our market remains focused on fresh produce and SNAP-eligible local foods.

VENDOR INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS

Eligibility: All items must be grown or produced in Utah and must be SNAP-eligible.
Food Rules: No hot foods (meats, tamales, etc.) or fresh-made drinks. All food/beverages must be pre-packaged with proper labels.
Permits: Documentation must be submitted before your first day. Please keep copies of all permits at your booth each week.
SFNMP (Senior Farmers Market): Optional for produce and honey vendors.
Payments: Non-refundable and non-transferable. Full season due by July 20th; monthly/weekly due 1 week prior.

SAMPLES Legislative session 2026: one of the new updates is that food vendors handing out samples will be required to have a food sampling license from UDAF. If you plan to provide samples, ensure your Food Handler Permits are current and review the new sampling application. Sampling Setup: You are required to have a functional handwashing station (flowing water, soap, and paper towels) set up before you begin any food prep or sampling.

I will provide a hand-washing station each week. If I have questions, I will ask them BEFORE the market. I will comply with UDAF regulations.

I will have the product in coolers at the market to keep it cold. If it applies to the items I will be selling, the state also requires that all coolers must have working thermometers within them

Prepackaged Foods

Spanish Fork has (Licensed Only): By only allowing USDA/UDAF Licensed Cottage Kitchens and Commercial Kitchens, Spanish Fork ensures that every food vendor has undergone a state inspection.

Salem has (Home Baker Section): By allowing non-licensed home bakers under the Utah Homemade Food Act, Salem ensures that there will be a designated area for these vendors. Vendors will provide signage per the Ut Homemade Food Act.
